Towards “New Heaven and a New Earth” (Rev.21:1), is the perfect motto of the Diocesan Development and Welfare Society(DDWS) by which it is striving to bring newness of life in the poor and marginalized, particularly in women and children, through its various developmental programmes and projects.

Catholic social teaching teaches us to respect and sustain human life and human dignity. Every human being is created in the image of God, redeemed by the plan of God through Jesus Christ. Therefore our service is rooted to give human dignity to every human being, irrespective to their caste, creed and religion. Diocesan Development and Welfare Society established in 7980, continuously striving to fulfill its objectives in remote areas and slums through:

• Promoting development awareness.
• Community based health and education.
• Income generation programmes.
• Vocational training programmes.
• Rescuing children in distress and bondage.
• Empowerment of women.

Above programmes are carried under the vibrant leadership of Rev. Fr. Babu Francis and with his dedicated team. I congratulate Fr. Babu Francis for his courageous leadership in spite of gone through a tough time.

As we strive to make a positive impact in the lives of others, let us remember that social work is not just a profession, nu a calling. It requires, compassion, empathy and dedication. I congratulate all the team members who work tirelessly to address social injustices, support vulnerable people and empower communities. Let us continue to inspire, support, and learn from each other, and work together towards creating a more just and equitable society for all.
